What I don’t understand is they were selling one battery for $100 right next to a drill, two batteries, a charger, and a bag for the same price. Even if you only needed the battery you might as well buy the package / kit.

They have done that for a long time, I have more tools than I need because of this. Oh well.

So dumb and wasteful. It’s like they would rather have you throw the tool out and buy a new one then buy part of it. I don’t get it.

Found a sale on a much needed drill ($100).

Looks like you got the HD BF deal. Lowes also had the same deal but with a different model brushless drill. BF is a horrible time for me. I go crazy in HD and Lowes buying tools I'll never use. Last year I bought the Milwaukee packout deal and I still haven't used it. I have grand ideas in my head but never get around to doing them.

I did pick up the dewalt oscillating tool earlier this year. That is a great tool. Now I'm buying the attachments for it and I'll probably never use 2/3 of them. That also gave me the excuse to finally buy the dewalt cordless inflator. I've had the ryobi one for years and it is probably my second most used tool. I kept thinking ryobi would update theirs to include the ability to run it from 12v but the new version didn't. The dewalt will run off their battery, 12v or regular 110ac power. I wanted this for my car since I don't have a spare tire and liked the idea of an inflator that I could run off 12v if my cordless battery went dead.
