New year, new equipment

So I had a custom sump built for me and I got a new skimmer to go with it. I installed the skimmer last night to check fitment and clearance and I have a few concerns.
1. I have to install the pump after the body is in the chamber as it’s too big to fit the entire thing in at once.
2. The skimmer output is very, very close to the adjustable baffle. I’m concerned this may impede performance.

I would like everyone’s thoughts on the matter before I get things wet that way I can return the skimmer for a different model if need be. Current model is Reef Octopus Elite 200 INT.

My skimmer is a close fit as well. I don't think your output is an issue at all.

As for the having to install in 2 parts. I have to take the base off mine to get it out between the sump and the stand. Even getting my skimmer collection cup out involves a clearance of less than 1/16th on an inch.

Update; everything is installed! I am in love. I think I enjoy staring at my sump more than my display now lol. Luna Reef Customs did a STELLAR job on the sump. He was very interactive on providing his opinion on my design ideas. The acrylic is all hand polished not flame polished. Yes, there is a difference. It also speaks to the time the builder takes with your order instead of rushing it out the door.
