Just bought 2 new Zoanthids. Should I dip them in iodine solution before adding to tank ? I never dipped any of my other corals and I'm nervous. 40 drops to one gallon of water. Should I acclimate first.

You should always dip. Lots of things you can't see.

@Thomasplatts1 zoa are one of the most resilient corals for dips, so don't stress it. Dip going forward, it will save you heartache.
I beg to differ on that one. Dipping yes is good practice but dipping also gets rid of anything good.

I've had better luck checking with a magnifier then just dipping for the heck of it. But to each there own.

Yes, pls dip all your corals. It is a good practice. U can use iodine or something like revive. Revive works well w zoas and lps corals. Just follow the directions There are no good things that would predate coral.
