Mark or critter on new torch

What is this on tip of torch tentacle? At first glance I thought it may be a flatworm but looking closer it almost looks like damage mark? Only spot on the whole thing. New coral, About a week or so. Dipped in coral rx then iodine based reef dip before adding to system.

Looks like damage to the tentacle. I've had torches drop tentacle tips in the past for random reasons. I usually assume it was either a fish nipped it, crab snipped it, or rock clipped it but I never really knew what happened - just that it appeared to have a small cut/break in the tentacle and then that part would fall off and the tentacle would heal.

Okay awesome, So you're fairly sure its not pest? Thats my main concern since there's multiple types of euphylia. Don't wanna have to pluck and dip and re stress it if unnecessary. And thanks for the reply and information!

Doesn't appear to be a pest, no. But if it's a fish nipping it could be an issue.

Just curious, what's your stocking look like?

This tank has been running mature for over 6 years and is a 40B with two fluval 207 canister filters, ATO, Two small powerheads, Titanium heater with controller and about 40 lbs of liverock arches + substrate. Fish stock is a pair of roughly six year old Ocellaris clownfish, One old Banggai cardinalfish, One younger Orcid dottyback, A few old dwarf blue leg hermits, One old scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp and some Trochus snails. Corals are GSP, Frogspawns, Torch, Three kinds of Zoas and some ricordia mushrooms

No the clowns stay in and on the large cave of gsp they grew up in, They dont seem too interested in the torch and havent really cared for anything else either. I also just noticed as the lights turned off for the day it shrunk and seems to be expelling waste or expelling zooxanthellae
