Hello! I’m Russell. I’ve been dreaming about keeping a saltwater fish tank since I was a kid, and I’m just now (very slowly) starting to dip my toes on the saltwater side. Tank and stand are here and I just did my scape (don’t have a creative bone in my body).

I’m a bit nervous but I’m really excited! I know there’s a lot I still don’t know but I did my research, I feel like it’s time to put it into practice. Besides, I’ve got the Reef2Reef community to help me happy to join this community. Little warning though: I ask A LOT of questions.

Welcome!!!!! Ask away! Everyone is here to help on this journey.
Thank you :) alright well since I'm just starting out, I plan on running a fowlr for now. I'm interested in corals, sure, but they're kind of illegal here in my country. :upside-down-face:

Anyway, do you think it's a good idea for a beginner to have a butterflyfish focused fowlr tank? I've read a few articles here saying that they're best left to the intermediate and expert reefers.

Welcome to Reef2Reef! And ask all the questions, questions are good!
