Hoping for the best for you and the clam, it's gorgeous please show us once it's settled in. I stopped ordering from LA/DD a long time ago, quality went way downhill.

I saw that bottom one when it came up and really think the mantle texture is amazing. After my clam killing 2 grand adventure, which seems most likely a disease from DD, I can’t say I would be thrilled about getting from there and would do a full clam QT. They are amazing though. I also saw LA had a sale on 3-4” blue squammies (not WYSISYG) for $180 recently too if I remember correctly.

Wow that has been a long time ago since I have seen one of those shrimp. I had forgotten!

Really can't wait to see more pics of your new specimen.

It has been 24 hours and it is looking horrible. Mantle on the bottom is retracted and it is not really out. It has no light sensitivity. I should have known better than to get another DD clam... My other clams and the newer ones that I got from Dr. Mac are all good...

This is disappointing. Is it sharing a tank with your other clams? Sorry to see man. After the blue squamosa we have sworn off divers den.

I have seen croceas bounce back from gaping and pulling back into the shell, but I am not holding out much hope for this one.

This isn’t good. I ordered a blue squamosa from liveaquaria last night. Fingers crossed.
