Anyone ever look at their displays a few hours after everything has gone dark with a flashlight? I was amazed tonight by the sheer amount of zooplankton that the cardinalfish and corals were consuming.

Apparently the latest clarkii clown clutch hatched tonight, so there are baby clowns everywhere, and multiple red leg and blue leg hermits were releasing larvae into the water column. Just holding the flashlight to the side of the tank made a thick cloud of babies and larvae congregate to the light!

Love the night time reef check ups! Very cool about the baby clowns. I’ll have what I believe are mysis shrimp come to the flashlight from time to time.

Did you light up some candles or something tonight? So much romance happening in your tank!

Nothing of note really in mine outside of some copepods doing their thing and the fish watching them intently.
