Hey yall, currently cycling a new nano reef tank (25 Gallon tank), ive seen the ammonia spike, and has now returned to zero, and saw the nitrite spike, however struggling to get it to go down. I'm at about one month of cycling and I'm aware that's not long for a new tank, id just like some feedback as to what can be done to cycle it faster and to ensure that I'm not missing anything, any feedback is appreciated!

I’m pretty sure you aren’t missing anything. Just gotta wait. Also how much nitrites are we talking? How long with no ammonia? Have the nitrites been dropping? You could answer all these questions and I’m pretty sure the answer will be the same. You just gotta wait.

What is the nitrate reading, if any?
What did you use to start the cycle?

Ignore nitrite, unless the goal is to interpret a nitrate test, which it interferes with.

Otherwise, here's no reason to monitor nitrite as it is not toxic in a marine system.
