I took over maintaining this tank 2 years ago. It was already set up and running for at least a couple years before that. When I started it was 95% xenia :cry: Luckily he wanted to get rid of it, so I spent a saturday tearing out all the rock and scrubbing off the xenia. Then he started getting more and more coral.

Simple sump that used to be a bio-ball sump, but now it just holds some extra live rock, heater and return pump.

The owner wants a 20% once a week water change and that's what he gets. Who am I to argue with these results?? 95% of the coral he puts in here thrives really well. Sometimes we can over-complicate things...
