Maybe it's just because I've been using it for 10 years or however long it's been since it came out, but I don't think it stinks. I'm not saying I like the smell but it doesn't bother me in the least. I just went and smelled it after reading this.

that shows that you are a reefing veteran...nothing smells like reefrodi in the morning.

Haha! Some of the stuff we use is definitely smelly

My dog chewed open a big container of reef roids, dumped it all over the rug near my tank, and then proceeded to roll in and lick up what he could. Let me tell you, he STUNK.

Corals love it though, so I keep buying it; I just keep it in a safer place now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Everything thrives with bacteria. I can’t use organic fertilizers, our dog will eat the stuff and roll in it if possible. The pellets I’ve used to feed bonsai he has eaten out of the pots. That also had an order. He has a good nose and. An find organic fertilizers and pellets.

I’ve smelled worse as in skimmer junk!

Really? I don’t think reef roids smells any worse than average dog/cat food. There are much stinkier things in life and even in this hobby.
