Bill did most of the work... I just gave input and enjoyed cold beverages. Bill is an artist with the Marco mortar.

So you use the marco putty to create a lip around the base rock to keep detritus from settling? I like the concept. I usually use acrylic rods or pvc pipe to suspend the rock up an inch or so from the sand to allow flow underneath

Thanks Bolt! I havnt added a stocking list yet. But i’ve Been into Nano tanks for many years and always had many different small gobies and blennies.... i’d Expect to end up with quite a few of those... also the basic tangs and going to try several genicanthus angelfish species. Will also end up with a decent sized school of blue/green chromis as well because I think they are the most underrated fish commonly in our hobby. Also a pair of Crosshatch triggers added last. I’ll do many wrasses including sand dwellers hence the only reason why i’m not going bare bottom and already have ordered/received 500lbs of Aragonite live sand.... Once the tank has been going for more than a month or two is when i’ll add more difficult fish to keep and still researching the idea of a Quoyi parrotfish knowing I’ll have a fair amount of cleaner shrimp and corals..

Just a note: I already have a few corals and fish from my previous Systems so i’m going to incorporate all of them. Here’s a quick fish list of what I already have for this tank all swimming around waiting for this tank to be finished.
*Three bondable nocturnis “circus” gobies
4 Regal tangs
5 yellow tangs
1 purple
1 gem
1 sailfin
1 foxface lo
Two pairs of clowns
Scopas
Chevron
Pair of mandarins

Love the fish selection. Got a Quoyi pair and about 15-20 different shrimp. No issues. Peaceful and amazing! You’d be amazed at how little I paid for the pair at my LFS.
