Noob Nano-Reefer from Los Angeles

Hello all.

Just introducing myself. I just purchased a Cadlights 22 gallon tank and I'm taking things pretty slow right now. I have yet to set it up, but I purchased everything I need for now...at least I think I did. Only thing left is to buy live rock, RO water, and sand. Here's my setup:

22 Gallon Cadlights w/ T5 lighting
Tunze 9002 Protein Skimmer
2 Hydor Koralia Nano powerheads
100W Ebo Jager Heater
AquaEuro CL-85 Chiller
InTank Media Basket w/ Chemipure, Purigen and floss

To purchase:
25 lbs. live rock
20 lbs. live sand

Eventually:
soft corals
clown fish
zoas

I hope to get it up by this weekend. Had some problems fitting the media basket into the first chamber, but InTank was gracious enough to supply me with a modified media basket. Thanks Steve!

WELCOME! this site is great! you will soon find out its now really a reef site so to speak but a reef community!!!!!

I would invest in a refractometer! best money you will spend! DONT trust a swing arm!

Welcome to R2R! I am new here, too - everyone is SO friendly and nice. I am also a nano-reefer. Sounds like you are taking it nice and slow and trying to do things right from the get-go. Keep us posted with progress pics. Best of luck with your new tank. :bigsmile:
