Hey guys I got the noop k7 a month ago and thought all was well with the settings I had till one of my corals started showing signs of bleaching and my zoas have not opened back up as well.

I have a 125 gallon 78x18x22 aqueon

I have a par meter so I am looking for the basics I guess, what colors should be on, at what max % etc? I wanna make sure I am on the right path, with my ai prime I would upload a schedule already dialed in. I admit I am clueless with light settings.

I think I am looking for a setting for low light-medium. Maybe I have something too high that is causing the bleaching? I have relocated the bleached one for now.

At peak hours the bottom sand gets at most 105PAR, rockwork 50-70par depends where exactly. But I admit most of the coral are under the light directly.. so maybe lots of rookie mistakes.

I have zoas, chalices, stingers, trumpets, blastos, duncans.

Duncan and blasto seem fine and thriving the rest are telling me something is up. They were good until the light swap.

Your par settings are pretty low to me, and it will limit the corals that will thrive.

I have MH lights, and I have bleached a lot of corals, it happens overnight, bleaching activity is very fast. I think you are describing slow death from low lighting, not bleaching. Pictures will help

Really? Wow see good thing I asked. I will have to get some photos later as I am at work but essentially my hollywood stinger has like spots of white, and I assumed bleaching cause it looked similar. Do you have any recommendations on a light schedule? I thought the blastos, trumpets and zoas preferred low light but I really would like to get them on the right track if not. Luckily I got these corals for a $1 nonetheless I do not want them to die.

the words 'low light' and 'high light' are very ambiguous since it means something different to all of us. To me, 'low light' is 100 ish par, 'high light' is 350+ par, but again, its just my opinion.

Its a popular light so I'm sure lots of folks can give you more suggestions. Lighting is a very tough subject so good luck with that,

I understand well that does help, I am nee to corals so I am still learning so understanding what people consider low light does help. And no worries I understand! Hopefully I can find some presets if not. Ill keep searching.

Hey bud quick update on your advice, you were right. I found a preset for a AB+ cycle and uploaded it. I measured the PAR and that sucker is hitting the sandbed around 200-300PAR. Today is day two, and my zoas finally opened up for the most part. A few still shut but big difference! Thanks again!!
