I am in doubt between the noopsyche and a8se light for a 160x55 aquarium. Which one do you recommend?
Any other recommendations for cheap light.
thank you so much

I have no experience with the A8se but have been running Noopsyche lights for over a year and am very happy. I run 6 k7 v3 over 180 gallon 72x24x24 inches. The tank has cross braces so I have 2 lights over each section. They put out a lot of par. I'm getting 300 par on the bottom where I keep a derasa clam.

Of the two mentioned lights I’ve only used Noopsyche and the lights themselves are really nice and much better than I would’ve expected at their price point. They’re not perfect though, and their app in my opinion is their weak point. They switched from using a controller that everyone complained about to using an app, and I personally dislike the app even more.

I have 7 Noopsyche lights and even though I don’t like the app if I were going to get new lights for any of my tanks I would still go with noopsyche. For the money I don’t think you’ll find a better light.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
