Been scanning these forums for awhile and had somewhat multiple failures with my tank over the years cause I wasnt happy with outcome and restarted. Have had my tank aprox 5 years and as of last year this has been the longest I have had my tank going ( was working out of state when I restarted and kept it going via apex and someone tending my tank for me). I tend to rush things and have been thankfully slowing down my nature in this hobby and things with it have been going somewhat good. I have a waterbox 100.3 tank fitted with apex to control everything its been great to be away and monitoer besides if they turn off electric in my area and I lose wifi connections and need to be in front of it to reconnect. But I have a ton of more info I want/need to know in this hobby. Right now I have awc with the neptune dos pumps it takes me 24 hr to do a wc of 10 gallons. Thats ok with me with time it takes and still plan to do manual changes from time to time and a daily eventually but wondering where is the best location to set my fresh and waste lines to where they would be the most beneificial? Since this pulls from 1/4" pex lines and its a slow process as of now I have my waste going in the weir area and my fresh in the return pump area in my sump. Wheres the best spot to put this? I feel like where it is is good where the mix of water isnt a waste but want my best option/opinion as I do eventually plan on making a rapid awc process eventually that Id supervise and I want it to be as effective as possible with no change in water volume just fresh saltwater

I don't use an AWC, but if I did I figure to pull waste from first section of the sump and fresh goes in the last section before the return pump. I figure this would be best since I run a gravity fed ATO for the return section
