Hey, I'm still new to the reef-keeping hobby. I have an Emerald Crab currently and wanted to add a Ruby Crab to the tank. I'm worried about if I can have them 2 in the same tank without any issues. Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions?

Should not be a problem as along as they have room to move about without running into each other every 5 min.

40g tank should be large enough do you think? I have lots of places for them to hide

Both are the same species, Mithraculus sculptus. From my experience, they also can be found in colors in between the two extremes. One of my five emeralds has a pinkish hue, and another has red joints. You should be fine mixing them.
