Hey everyone. After last weeks drama I did a ton a research because I wanted the reactor but I need to be able to maintain it without flooding my house. After looking around for check valves and other options I stumbled on Eheim double tap quick release valves. It’s exactly what I was looking for and I got it all put together and running. I’m gonna monitor my nitrates over the next few days to see how it works. Anyways here are some pictures.

Ah yeah, my suggestion and recommendation is to get rid of the metal clamps!! They will eventually rust and you won't be able to remove them. There are plastic hose clamps that you can get.
Nice tank and good luck. I have the Red Sea Max E-260 with sump.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did think they would eventually rust but after the last fiasco I went a little crazy. I will pick up some plastic ones and switch them out ASAP.

Hello reefers. I got a couple new toys for the tank that I am super excited about. I picked up and MP10 and a G5 XR15 pro. The gyre I had in the tank was way to powerful and the mp10 has been perfect. I picked up the mp10 a bit ago but I was so excited that I put it on the tank without reading any instructions and dropped it on the floor breaking the case. Luckily EcoTech is incredible and really stands behind there product and got it all repaired super quick. That interaction is the reason I decided to buy the xr15. Apart from that I’ve picked up a few more corals and stuff is really starting to fill in. I couldn’t be happier with how everything is turning out.

Hello reefers. So the chaeto reactor works way too good. I’ve pulled it back to 3 hours with the lights on and my nitrates are still bottomed out. I’m gonna kill the skimmer and see what that does. I’d love to find a way to have nitrates sit between 5 - 10 ppm but I’m in no rush since everything seems to be growing and looking great. I’ve been slowly adding more livestock and I finally feel like it’s all coming together.
