JFSunsetWatermelonCrop.jpg

Been growing this from a small frag since late 2010 or early 2011. Fragged a couple times. Almost 4" across. Some of the polyps along the edge are getting cool red/blue/purplish stripes. My favorite acan echinata of all time. Has a green growth rim similar to a chalice but you can't see it in the pics. It's like the rainbow chalice of acan echinatas.

Yeah that one is my favorite too… It's funny I was just telling Josh that it reminds me of the rainbows as well... I can never get the green rim to pop out though for me...Kraylens had a sick green rim... Man your collection never ends I might need to take a trip over and check this Tank out finally.

Ha! I bought my frag from Kraylen a couple years back at a frag swap at Papsquatch's house. I think maybe I met you there. Seems like the the green rim comes out in lower light but the body doesn't look as bright so I keep it in an area with good light.

Picked up this baby at the end of February. No rim but the the rainbow of color speaks for itself. The base just glows. It receded badly on me. I've had to frag it twice to stop the recession. After a couple months of amino acid baths and feeding it by hand 2-3 times a week it's healed up and growing. I'm hoping that teal/turquoise color becomes more prevalent as it grows some more.

Looks awesome...do you have FT..if so wich one do you like more...I can't decide... I love the snakeskin and the bright rim on the rainbow… But I also love the blue streaks and the crazy sheen the flamethrower gives off..

Thanks :D I do have the FT. They are both special in their own way. It'd be hard to pick between the two.
