Nuvo 10 Build

Literally any piece of furniture that is 1/2" or thicker mdf or plywood will hold a Nuvo 10. Just not that type of Ikea stuff. It's like thick cardboard, as was stated above. I used a cheap piece of furniture for a while I bought off a garage sale for 15$ while I made a stand.

ended up getting the Nuvo stand from a local store... for some reason it didn’t come with the board so I used a circular saw to fit the middle divider...
Honestly not sure what to put in the chamber yet??
got an air driven skimmer... but omg soooo loud

Maybe use a diff pump? LOL.. Which skimmer is that?

My aquamaxx Bullet-1 HOB skimmer is doing great!

No Ah how did you fit your Bullet 1?
unless I mount the light to the wall I don’t have the space to put it into the middle haha.

so I tried to get a replica of reef glass skimmer - since it’s cheaper and if I hate it.. I’ll just mount the light to the wall..

still playing around with everything...

AI HD prime 16, Autoaqua ATO lite, ink bird 308s with the neotherm 50w and 2 little fans...
Innovative marine RFG (but omg sooooo loud.... it’s been in there for 2 weeks but I’m about to give up..)
The mightyjet pump is still makin sounds too... so I’m debating to switch it out to sicce pump .5....

Mount my light to the right side of the tank..see picture. Mightyjet should not be loud. Check if you have it loose or issue. Contact them. Their CSR is good

contacted them..... and they told me to clean it so I tried...but seems like although the bearing stick thing is straight, the magnet portion is unable to keep it directly in the middle...

And I found out the wires wernt fully covered either as I was cleaning it.... could have electrocuted my fish....

Can you see the actual copper side of the cable exposed? If that the case yes potential issue with DC power. Hard to tell from the picture. Check with them

For folks that have Nuvo 10 was wondering what you would consider as necessities?

1. Return pump- didn’t try using the one it came with... but I do have Sicce Micra+ (158GH) do you guys prefer using a different return pump? Going to be on my desk so would prefer a bit quieter?

2. Heater - Aquatop Titanium Heater (100W Heater & Control is what I purchased

3. Light - will be ordering AI prime HD 16

4. wavemaker??? I’m thinking Nero 3..?

5. Skimmer.. not sure about the availability in space...

6. Filter sock - any better version?

Nero 3 would be sweet in that tank.

You might be able to fit an Ice Cap Nano K1 in the back - it fit on my IM 20. It's actually very functional for a nano/small skimmer, just a bit noisy.

The filter socks clog in about 36 hours and are small and impossible to clean. They make a media caddy you can stick filter floss in.
