5 day blackout did nothing. They actually covered the rockwork and sand again in the dark. Lights came on today (blue only) and I've dosed 2ppm silicate. I'm going to continue dosing H2O2 and Waste Away daily. Pods and phyto are on the way and should be here sometime next week. I recently saw a thread about treating dinos via carbon dosing after lights out, so I will also be dosing MB Clean at night.

Dinos are receding greatly. Unfortunately I needed to cut the experiment short and could not attribute much to carbon dosing. It may have slowed them down slightly, but that could also be due to the reduced lighting. Nothing I tried made much of an impact except for Dino-X. I'm on day 3 and just did my second dose a few hours ago. I'd say around 80% of the dinos are gone. The few zoa frags I have now are alive, but tucked up. Idk how it would effect sps or LPS, but I can tell you that it does work as advertised in regards to dinos.

Black Friday shipment from WWC arrives Jan 6. I've cleaned up the Dino casualties and only have a small Zoa garden growing in the middle of the rockwork (maybe 10 frags). I'm trying an SPS dominated reef with tons of Monti and Birdsnet. My nutrients are stable and I think I fixed a lot of the issues with the tank once the Dino's are gone.

I appears that there was one more Dino casualty. RIP Blennifer Lopez (lawnmower).

The dinos won the fight. This tank is being broken down. I'm taking all of the lessons I've learned and starting over. I picked up a 15g cube to rehome my clowns with a nem, and the rest of the live stock is getting traded back to my LFS.
