I believe so I seem to recall reading about this before I got ours. We only run one now but was thinking ahead for a upgrade while researching. @OceanRevive will jump in.

Yes, as long as you are in line of sight of all units at the same time. I have 3 units and 3 remotes and I stored away the other two remotes and just use the one for all 3 units.
