I picked up this tank as part of a large deal. I want to drill the back wall for an over flow. Does anyone know if the glass is tempered? I hear that’s an issue if so. I can’t find any info online.

Thanks!

With any tank, it's a wise idea to check it for tempered glass before drilling because manufacturers will use whatever glass they have available to them, so even if someone had the same tank and they successfully drilled it, there's no guaranty that your tank will be able to be drilled.

The test is super easy, you just need an LCD screen and some polarized sun glasses.

Good luck!
