Octospawn without mouth

I tried fragging my octospawn and one head shattered into a bunch of pieces. They all seem to be growing and calcifying but they don't have mouths.

Has anyone had anything similar happen?

I've had other lps recover from small pieces without a mouth. As long as you keep seeing good polyp extension and growth you should be good.

I had a single head of hammer shatter in 8 pieces and 2 only had a few tentacles. All of the pieces recovered over the course of a couple months into full heads and eventually colonies.
