Can someone ID this for me please? In the shop its tentacles were darker and more elongated. Screen grab from a video clip as the blue light is less obvious to the glow. (If that helps?) TIA!

Looks like galaxia to me, related to torches and other Euphyllia. This coral is notoriously aggressive, and should be placed 'downwind' of any other coral you don't want fried. They like medium light and flow, you should see the tentacles waving a lot but not 'snapping' in the flow.

They both are Euphyllia. I would not count on a galaxea getting along with other euphyllia types though, I've heard they are pretty aggressive.

Thanks! I’ll keep it away. The only coral it’s in tentacle reach is a Duncan at 4” maybe they’re both frags

Though be careful as their sweepers can get up to 8 inches. I've never seen sweepers on mine personally, don't know if that's due to me keeping it 8 in away from everything (sweepers are a defense to kill neighboring coral to make room to grow/protect themselves) or due to the sea spider infestation I recently rediscovered

Galaxea are Euphilliids, but are not Euphyllia. Euphyllia is a separate genus from Galaxea.

I've been wondering this for awhile, are alveopora acroporids?

Oh boy. 8” is like 1/2 my tiny tank and the last thing I need are spiders.
