Odd bright spot on mushroom

Hello everyone! I just fed my corals and after I left to go and some food myself (about 40 mins) I came back to find this really odd bright spot on my mushroom? Anyone know what this is?

Commented on your other post with this same concept/issue

I believe it potentially could be your Rhodactis bouncing in a way! Hard to entirely tell from the pics on this thread but from this angle I feel there is a good possibility of it being a small bounce starting to form on the shroom!

The white spot is a clump of Mesentarial filaments, a defensive material that all corals exude around wounds and, sometimes, food. My best guess is that a spot of salt landed on the spot and inflames the filaments, they should run down soon though.
 

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
