In my 180 gal. DT I have tangs, dwarf angels, wrasses, a Maroon clown, an Emperor angel, a Blue Spotted puffer, etc.

Overall, they get along OK: no big fights. Tangs would just eract their fins and wriggle their tails but never caused injuries. What I did not expect was "real" hatred between very different looking fish.

Kings of the tank are the Emperor and the Yellow tang. they never fight and not too aggressive at all. However, the Emperor just "hates" the puffer and often chases her( both love the veggie I feed).

And the Maroon just "hates" all the wrasses and chases them very often. Luckily they're pretty quick to run off but why??? Also unexpectedly, she's somewhat humbled by the larger Hippo tang and recently by the medium Powder Blue tang who just show their fins to her. The Emperor and the Yellow tang never pay attention to the Maroon.

Maroon clowns are well known to be jerks once established and the emperor is known to be at least somewhat aggressive so this really isn't surprising.
