This monstrosity survived a dip of my wall hammer. It seems to be a barnacle like organism because it's living in a shell like thing(stationary) and it almost seems to have two tentacles. I've never heard or seen anything like it. It's not really a problem but it's releasing stringy goo about 6" in length. ID please!
 
Picture is a bit fuzzy but would guess it to be a Vermetid Snail. Harmless in general but can irritate some stony corals.

Thanks Todd! Hit the nail on the head with that one. Now to get out the dremmel and epoxy.
