When I test my water (currently every day) I am getting 0.25 ammonia, 10~20 nitrate and 0 nitrite. This seems odd to me. I have been adding Seed bacteria every day per the recommendation of my lfs b/c my tank is new. Cycled and ready to populate for a month now.

Tank is a BioCube 16 with 1 1/2" sand bed and 15 lbs of live rock. No bedrock used. I have 2 small Clown fish, 1 Coral Beauty and 2 yellow tail Damsels. Also 1 small Kenya tree, 1 small Hammer coral, a Button Polyp with 8 polyps and a 2 1/2" branching Green Star polyp. All my fish and corals seem happy. There is also a small breakout of Aiptasia which I plan to eradicate with Aiptasia X today.

Today's test results
Temp 78
pH 8.0
Ammonia 0.25
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20~40

Should I do anything different or am I just being paranoid?

Forgot to say my salinity holds steady between 1.025 and 1.026 on the hydrometer that I am using.

It tests 0 when I test water that has been mixed for a water change.

Figuring out the why: Has your primary reason(s) for keeping a saltwater aquarium changed over time?
