Off to Wisconsin!

Well, I have to send my acceptance email in a few minutes but it looks like I am taking the job in Wisconsin, my local offer didn't pan out. Excited and slightly nervous, might end up buying a house I've never seen. Waiting on word from the loan people to start that process.

Each house I look at I try to see if there is a spot big enough for a tank or that the basement is situated in such a way to get a tank/acrylic down the stairs. Little nervous about building a tank inside a house with no way to get it out!!

Doesn't look like there is much of a fish scene in Wausau but I could be wrong. On the bright side Live Aquaria is just up the road! :D

Not too far from Minnesota, live aquaria as mentioned and snowmobile country.
Harsh winters in that area otherwise be ready to drink and root the Packers !!

I know the feeling with regards to the house. When my SO and I were looking I was trying to sneak the idea of a room for my tank. Ended up landing a house with a room right off the front door where I’ll have mine. Best of luck to you! (And may the force be with you)

I'm in! I prefer the cooler/colder weather. I loved Wyoming's winter when I lived there. My kid nicknamed my OR down coat puffy mcpuffnstuff, it looks ridiculous but it's warm AF

Yes! Nothing beats the 8 months of winter up here. I spend more time shoveling than I do mowing. The biggest secret up here is to place a case of beer all over your driveway right before the first big snow storm. That way you get a free break beer regularly.:p
