That thing is awesome. Like a hairy fox flame, but different growth pattern. Any idea on species?

Super last minute entry. Been dealing with high nutrients lately due to a skimmer cup overflowing as well as a bubble algae outbreak. Still recovering from my led burn a few months back. I really need to shoot the backside because it is still encrusting back there.

@ScottB my frag also got too close to another acro in September and I lost a section of it. It healed completely by October and you can see the new growth about halfway down which is lighter with less pink. Hopefully you'll stay in the competition and make a comeback!

December 23rd picture entry.

The Bonfire as well as few other acroporas started to STN in the beginning of November. No noticeable growth from the Bonfire, but definitely tissue recession.


After thanksgiving what I’ve done to slow it and others down. Which seems to be working, since the decline has slowed or stopped:

-changed my carbon and DI on my RODI
-increase water change percentage from 20% to 30%
-Increased Nitrates from unreadable to around 5-8

I don't do par with LED'S but if I had to guess it would be over 500.
So.....yeah lots of light and tons of flow. Tabling acros love both.

Mines probably right at 400...under an Gen4 Xr15 pro with aquatic life t5 hybrid. The Bonfire frag is directly under the xr15...probably 24" from the fixture
