Official Prayer Thread!! (Prayer Request)

Hello all. I’m always in awe with the outpouring support and absolute miracles I see from this thread. Today I’d like to reach out once more to request some healing and/ or comfort from you guys.

My step mama was diagnosed with a blood cancer. I don’t know exactly what type. All I know is she had to have T cells donated (which they couldn’t find a donor and it’s not an option any longer) and that this cancer is the result of some treatment she had for breast cancer around 20 years ago. She’s… fought extremely hard. She beat cancers booty once before. Sadly now, she may not be able to unless by a miracle. And I know it can happen.

Therefore I’m reaching out to everyone to pray. For healing, comfort, peace. She’s a wonderful woman and means a lot to her family. She was an absolute rock when my dad passed.

Thank you. It has been an extraordinarily strenuous and confusing 2 weeks.
While trying to process this grief, I'm in the middle of emotionally taxing and tumultuous legal proceedings, as well as attempting to manage some family estate and real estate matters.
I appreciate all the prayers and encourage them to continue.
Please continue to pray for healing as well as patience.

I have a good friend who is going through a rough time and spiraling down a dark path... he's on an extremely stressful job right now and is having marital problems as well. He has now begun down the path of alcoholism and he told me this morning hes starting to question his faith..

I pray that he can find the strength to turn away from the bottle and get the help he is being offered and that he admits he needs. That the lord can speak to him and he can look past his pride and accept a hand up, rather than living in a dark pit of self pity and despair.

I also pray for wisdom as to how I can try and help him best. My faith is relatively new and, especially with the lack of sleep, I found it hard to find the right thing to say when he told me he was "having trouble with the whole god thing right now". He is a really good man and taught me so much over the years. Tough seeing one of your mentors in this state.

Prayers, insight, and/or relevant scriptures appreciated.

Keep being there for him, however you can. Being a quiet source of comfort to him might be just what he needs. Praying for you both.

I went through similar with my mom. Its both a challenge and learning experience. Take it one day at a time

I never get these notifications. If I dont make a point to check, I wouldnt know. There's 1 or 2 other threads that are wonky like that for me.

I just pray, a fraction of the people that i've seen or talked to that say they felt the Lord speaking to them, stay the course. I know CK would be honored to have saved a single soul, let alone this potential, massive revival of faith.

I listened to an audio book recently that made some great points. Might re-listen soon. The point went something like this (I wont do it justice, and im heavily paraphrasing) God gave us free will. We can do as good, or as evil as we want. Coming to him, has to be free will. 100%. Simply stopping something bad, or doing something good, or making his presence known in general, would violate our free will, because how could you make the choice willingly if you knew for a fact. Bad things happen because God isnt a ruthless ruler, but a loving Father. I try to remember this when times get trying.

I just found this thread! I am also a pastor in SoCal, first and foremost, even before my reefs . I am in awe of all the prayer requests and responses I’ve seen here. It fills my heart and I’m so honored to be able to join you all from this time on. Blessings to each of you and prayers being lifted!
