Hi, I am in the process of setting up my sca 120 and I'm already looking at getting a 50 as well! Did you get the pnp or just the tank? Also if you did get the pnp, did you get the wood or the MDF stand? Thanks

I got the PnP system with the MDF stand. So far so good. I just try to be extra careful when messing with the sump area to not leave any spilled water sitting on the stand surface.

What other company tanks did you people consider when finding SC Aquariums? I'm also hunting down a 120g or 150g under $2k with a warranty and starfire glass. Right now I have only considered SC Aquariums and Water box. Feel free to PM me, so I don't hi-jack this thread.

I got the SCA 120 drilled for Synergy, but got a Modular Marine overflow instead. Anyway, I looked at basically every tank manufacturer with prices on their website and SCA was the cheapest I could find. My closest other option was Glass Cages, since I could just pick that up from them in Nashville, but the fact that SCA was a 120g, eurobraced, gorgeous tank for $900 with tax included and shipped to my door....I couldn’t find anything to beat that.

And im assuming your're still happy with the tank and quality? Pictures of your set up would be nice.

Click my “build thread contributor” badge for pictures. I am happy with the quality...even though I dropped the first one. That said, I’m picking up a 40 gallon frag tank from Glass Cages next week so I am anxious to compare.

@Tuffyyyyy, can't wait for you to get your new tank! Looking forward to meeting you and showing you around our facility. Thanks for selecting Glass Cages for your build.

I researched it and the only thing I found was around 275 lbs. I recently moved mine with 3 people and it went fine using suction cups handles and brute strength. Imo it didn't feel like 275 lbs.

That's what I was able to find as well. I hired a couple of movers to get mine up the stairs and they were able to knock it out in about 10 minutes.

Anyone know the dry weight of a eurobraced 120
Not trying to be a tough guy, but I moved my 150 by myself. Left it boxed up and stood it on it side, put a hand cart under it. I went up 5 steps no problem. Then I cantilevered it on the stand. It actually felt pretty light for a glass tank!

I was very surprised and happy with the build quality and design of the tank. Especially for the price!
