Does this look like RTN to you guys or what? This sucks, I have RTN destroyer but I've never used it so hopefully it'll stop if that's what it is. #reefsquad

salty, reef grow puts this stuff out. My buddy at Reef Addicted sold it to me when my tank crashed before I knew what was wrong with it.
What would eat it or even sting it? I have no softies or anything but a birds nest near it and nothing touches that spot. I have two clowns and a watchmen goby and a CUC

It does appear that way, if I had a trigger or something I'd be sure he took a bite out of it but alas, I do not

Time to go nocturnal too. thers some ugly flat worms out there.
And keep in mind rtn stn etc are loosely used terms now, used to describe any tme the coral dies, from no flow alk shock bad light etc.
From what I understand true STN, RTN is a bacterial infection that plagued the SPS world early on and sometimes still, so I assume that is an in tank anti biotic. os snake oil i really don't know.

but dont freak, it could just be a dead spot in flow light etc.

Thanks for the information Salty, can there be too much flow? I added a koralia nano that is aimed at the back to hit my sps a little harder, it's not much maybe 240 GPH

for that stick id kinda say no. unles the coral is already unhealthy.

There's a small monti cap I glued to the rock in front of it. It's probably 2 inches from the affected stick

I also started dosing Acropower, but the first dose was 3mL this morning after I noticed the dead spot

I moved it, good news is while I was elbow deep in the tank I noticed the affected acro had good Polyp extension, idk if it's because of the Acropower but it seems to be in good health
