Greetings DIY Peeps,

I went on a deep dive on this topic months ago. Clearly, it's complicated.
I just upgraded my DT to a designer blackbox and have two AI Sol Whites, and the impossible to find controller for them.

At the moment, they have no real use. On a shallow frag tank, I'm sure they'd do ok. Also fiddled with the idea of growing aptasia and breeding Nudis. I know they grow aptasia well.. lol.

I have a soldering iron, but am BAD with it. I'm generally weak w electrical, but can learn anything on youtube.

What do you suggest?
1) Sell them to someone w the skill to revive them
2) Use them for something they can kinda do
3) Do your best to improve the spectrum w new LEDs

They work like crazy, it's just that they're the "white" version... 2/3 white to blue. Beefy heat sinks, even the fans work. Is there any value here, or am I fussing over antiquated junk?

I guess it would depend on what you want to do with them. Of course you could sell them just the pricing woukd depend on how bad you want to sell them if so.

Or you could use then,I' sure they are still capable of growing coral.
