Last night I picked up my Black Friday haul from Legendary Corals, I’m super happy with the new colors. Here’s the list:
-Miami Hurricane Chalice
-War Coral
-Hulk Acan
-Orange Florida Ricordia (3 mouths!)
-Kryptonite Candy Coral
-ORA Neon green birdsnest (FIRST SPS!)
-And finally, the reason for the order, a black torch with a green inner core

Got some great stuff in the last few weeks. Firstly, what a major difference that Syncra 1.5 is, in comparison to the junk that was included. I wanted to keep a quiet tank and made most of the purchases based on that philosophy. Between the twin A80's and the Sicce, shes now virtually silent with the exception of a slight humm from the Tunze Skimmer. I also finally purchased an ATO, the Auto Aqua Micro which seems to be universally liked, I cant wait to set it up next week.
We also got a few new inhabitants to the tank. The clean up crew grew by a few more. I love my black sand but it was turning brown overnight so I picked up 6 Nassarius snails. They are 98% of the time hidden but come out of the sand like zombies during feedings, its freakin awesome to watch. Even though I cant see them most of the time I can sure tell they are working. My sand is now constantly turned over, so its stays black all the time now. And finally, a Goby/Shrimp pair and a beautiful juvenile Tomini Tang (who will be in the tank until its out grown it, hopefully a year or more down the road). We also got a Peach colored branching Octospawn and a Sprite Colored torch with a lime green inner core.
Me walking into the LFS Diablo Corals Concord,Ca = Trouble! I come for the water and walkaway with something else.

Happy New Years! I got a smokin deal on a Aqua Smart ATO Micro and a Ecotech MP10ES, Bought them second hand and I spent less than 180$ total! I think equipment wise, I’ve finally got everything I want. At some point I’d like to upgrade the pump running my algae reactor to a Sicce 0.5, but I’m in no rush. Anyways enjoy the shots!

Ive had some bad luck lately. 1stly I found our Watchman Goby trapped inside the wet side of the MP10 this morning. Crap, so I ordered some foam covers and a QD upgrade from my LFS.
I also lost 2 torch frags, my clown has been hosting them. He stressed them, they got cut up against their skeleton and ended up getting infected, so I removed them from the tank. I asked the LFS to to test my water to confirm my tests were accurate and my water is a-ok. After talking with the LFS I purchased a RBTA. I’m hoping the clown will host it and leave my last torch alone. Hoping for some luck.

Did a re-scape. Added tons of new life. A Super Nova Nem, Ultra Rock Flower New and an Aussie gold blow torch to name a few. I love the stax rock, though I think I screwed up and moved sand too much. Ammonia jumped up to 0.25ppm after the install/WC. Filling the tank quickly now, I almost want to upgrade again.
Where did you find that SR-60 at? I like those tanks. Also how do you like the Kessil lights? Are you getting much growth out of them? I have a kessil A80 on my nuvo fusion 10G and I can not get any growth out of them. The corals open up and look healthy, but I am not getting any growth. Great looking tank.
