Thats good info and I'm sure very accurate. I just have a hard time terminating living creatures that God put here for a reason. Google says some large wrasses take out juvenile bobbits so that would be my option if it wasn't to large

That would work in a tank big enough for it. I am assuming its talking like bird Wrasses, Coris Wrasses, and others. But if smaller halichoeres also do it, then that would be an option. Small tanks just limit your options for natural solutions, but if you have the tank volume its prolly worth it.

I will also say that I have been successful in eliminating worms with PraziPro. Yes this will take out all worms so just be aware of that, but I found in large 300+ gallon systems, removing the rock was not going to happen. Prazi caused a mass worm die off with all bristle worms, tube worms and the bobbit dying but amazingly, crustaceans and corals did not seem to be unaffected. I would only do this as a last resort.

I guess I'm in the minority few here but I wouldn’t remove any living creature hitch hiker from my tank. I just see everything as part of the overall ecosystem and they live in a reef for a reason. All God's creatures have their role in nature. Im not opposed to introducing natural predators into the tank to solve a situation though because the same would occur in the ocean too.

To each their own, for sure. But like a rancher shooting a predator to protect their sheep, l wouldn't hesitate taking out a bobbitt worm to protect my livestock.

Got the rock 10 months ago, so been in tank that long…and yes, not rushing to remove but at some point has to go.

Another hitchhiker….hard to get a great picture. Fast and been killing snail, as evident of a pile of shells it has been making.

Pretty sure I’ve got a bobbit as well in my remote fuge. Does a great job of stirring the sand around. Not as good as the stone crab though. He rearranges the tank rocks and sand daily .

If I was closer, Id be willing to take it off your hands. I think it'd be cool to to watch in my HOB refuge. This way I could keep my snails safe but also watch it. In all its horror I still think its a pretty cool hitch hiker that most people will never see.

I agree, however my tank is not set up to keep killers isolated. Would be like keeping wolves on the farm. Luckily I live only a few miles from where it came from and eventually it will find its way back to the Gulf.

That looks super cool! As cool as it is, it’s gotta come out. Maybe build a home for it In the sump if you don’t want to get rid of it completely. Other than it being cool, because of their nature they have no business being in a tank.
