Simple timeline: from bad news first to good news.
1. Spring of 2020 discovered small colony of Blue Clove Polyps in display tank.
2. Didn’t know much about this coral, didn’t think much about it.
3. October 2020 set up brand new 180g tank into next room.
4. Created new Caribsea aquascape : pedestals, arches, caves, tunnels etc. also kept a few pieces of live rock from above tank.
5. Early 2021 noticed Blue Clove polyps survived the transfer. Over the next year they spread to over half of my tank.
6. Tapped into R2Rs vast library of reef experiences.
7. February 2022 dosed 4 grams of fenbenazol.
8. This killed all of the BCPs within a week+.
9. All of 2021 through 2022 with new dry rock then dosing medication kept tank ecosystem potential from really taking off.
10. Finally!!! Good news. Introduction of new sps frags, some doing well. About just 3 months ago “FIRST” signs of coralline algae in this new tank. (Now it’s everywhere) Zoas, Gorgonians, Gonioporas, Ricordia Floridas all doing well. Montis, Stylophora and Milipora are growing slowly but growing.
