some fox faces may nip corals. I keep mostly sps and a few lps. I haven’t seen any nipping but I’ve heard some people have seen their fox face nip corals.
their spikes are venomous, so don’t handle the fish. But other then that I have personally had no issues with the fox face
this is foxy. Shes at least 8”. She’s had a rough life. I picked her up with a full grown yellow tang that a guy was keeping in his over flow. When I got her she was covered in flukes. Both side fins were pretty much gone and what was left was curled up. She had fin rot, and many wounds, and bacterial infection. She was really beat up, had ick and beat velvet. This photos was a few years ago but was taken when she came out of 6 months+ in qt being treated, and healed. She has since grown more of her side fins as well. She will eat from my hand, and is a model citizen towards the rest of the gang.

They can be shy, or outgoing, or if they're like mine, a bit of both. Mine will come to the glass when I'm feeding, but then sometimes gets spooked 5 seconds later when I move my hand and darts behind a rock, full camo, lol!

One other thing -- and maybe this just applies to mine -- be prepared for it to take a giant dump just as you walk up to the tank! Lol!
It's called crop dusting. The corals dig it. My Hippo tang is the queen of crop dusting! I'm pretty sure when I walk up to the tank, she says, "Watch this!" and lets loose.

Unfortunately, it usually comes down to the specific fish you end up with. In general, if you keep them well fed, they won't feel the need to look for a snack.
It’s a 110 gallon.
If they do eat coral, it's usually soft coral.
ok thanks ill keep an eye if I have lots of softies I think I'm going to have some zoas and a bubble yuma but that's prob it and then LPS, like hammers, torches, bubble coral
I just sold mine. It was a placid fish. I thought of it as the tank police. If there was any aggression it would get between and raise his dosal.
