Hey guys thanks, for some reason I don’t get alerts on my own thread. I have an appointment with a vascular surgeon to do vein mapping to find where she is going to place the fistula. Once placed it takes about 3 months for it to mature before they can use it for dialysis. The ditched the idea of putting a temporary portal in my chest for dialysis because they are worried about infection since I’m immunocompromised. I’m going to the infusion center once a week to get infusions instead, they are long days. I don’t feel great but I’ve felt worse. They sent my referral to the Cleveland clinic transplant even though I stated I wanted to go to University Hospital since I’ve been going there twice a year since my late 20’s and I had my other transplant there and I already have a doctor in the Transplant Institute ( although she is not nephrology) so I’m trying to get that straightened out.
