I have 2 Radion XR30 Gen 5 pros. I purchased them from BRS and one the diffusers was cracked- (Not BRS fault). Ecotech sent a new diffuser and that one has a crack! BRS will take it back.
This got me thinking if I have the right lights for my setup. They will be about 12 to 13" above the water. The tank is 48x30x24

I was looking at the ATI Straton's and the Sky's

I really like what sky is doing but I do want shimmer. Are the ATI's really better than the XR30's?? how much shimmer do the sky's have compared to the Radions? IM sure all 3 lights can run the Blue+ settings

Not a fan of kessil and I have looked at orphic and GHL

Looking for opinions

I have Gen4 xr30 pros on my 120 gallon tank with orphek or3 daylight and blue spectrum supplemental bars. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve seen horror stories on here about sky’s and the ati fixtures I’ve seen in person are so bulky and they sit like 6” off the waterline.

Its not that I don't like them. I see that most call for them to be like 9" above the water, I am 12 to 13". I am questioning if I have the right lights, It will be a mixed reef, but leaning towards sticks
Any chance of getting RSM mounts?

Stratons are great and about as streamlined as you can get. Mine are 12 inches above the water line. The difficulty may be finding them as there is limited supply and a lot of demand.

Just hung up with ecotech and they will send another diffuser. I asked about running 12" off the top of the tanks. they recommend between 9 - 12" but i can also increase the intensity. I have them set for blue+ template but see that the intensity changes thorough out the day. is that an issue? is running at 100% a problem? or am I just over thinking it?

I think my radions are like 16 inches plus off the waterline. And I’m getting 250-350 par in the upper section

They dont have a specific moon light but could be programmed that way if you wanted to. I'm sure they can go higher. I have mine at 12 inches so that the canopy hides them.

I run my 2 Radions XR30’s G5 at 80% Light Point Intensity and 100% schedule, 9 inches from the water. Have 600 par at the top of my aquarium.

Have you seen WWC's setup? They have their Radions mounted up so high, they might as well use them to light up their store.

Was able to return the lights to BRS.
I have it narrowed down to the Neptune Sky or the ATI Straton

anyone running either of those. Talked to BRS, neptune and ATI. I got the sales pitch for each. prefer real world experience
