Picked this up yesterday from the LFS and it's nicer than I anticipated. I know it's hardly the hottest acro on the market right now but the pinkish red interior and truly yellow tips are pretty durned nice! Strangely tho it doesn't seem to have the great polyp extension for which it was named, nor have I found any pics showing great PE, even on the ORA site. Oh well.

Foreground shows my Cali Tort, and background has a rainbow mili, possibly SOTR.

that pink and green combo is pretty sweet. maybe as it settles in, youll get more PE out of it?

Perhaps. If it is maricultured and used to a natural reef environment I suppose there could be changes to coloration too, depending on how long it has been in a tank now. But most pics I've seen have similar PE and color to mine.

Hello, I snagged the same piece I believe from a local Reefer, Describled it as the ORA Marshall Island Maricultered Yellow Fuzzy piece, mine is still coloring up hopefully to a similar color like that! Mine has insane polyp extension btw, high flow medium to low placement, under 8 bulb ATI.

Not bad. Maybe the lower light facilitates PE. I'm pretty sure mine had been at the dealer not much more than a week, so those are the colors it came from ORA with. If yours doesn't have them perhaps it was in the dealers tank for longer. Can't tell from the pic but what does it look like color-wise? Hope I can keep mine looking like it does now!

Color wise it has the yellow/greenish at tips and coralites but is a real faded color and every couple days you cant notice the color getting better, tip polyps are also different color than branch polyps. If you look closely you can see some of the yellow coming through :) Mine wasn't from a dealer though but another hobbyist, however he was running LEDS and reason he got rid of it was because he said it wasnt doing well with LED.

Right now I have it up, in moderate flow. Polyps are extended all the times, but honestly it doesn't look happy. I just hate to move it again, I moved it 3 times in the past month.

Mine is looking "fuzzier" tonight definitely. Pretty cool really. It adds to the look.

I don't have mine mounted yet but it is about 2/3 up and in high flow. Looks happy so far.

Don't want to make too much of this but this coral is really nice! The yellow tips really really stand out among all the blues purples and greens. At fifty bucks for what is really a small colony I've thought about going back for the other one they had.

One of my favorite pieces. Here's some pics of mine. The FTS is from a few months ago after I upgraded to a 57g so its kind of bare, but you get the size idea. Hard to really guage it until you pick the thing up lol

Makes me think my small colony for 20$ was a steal. So excited for it to color thanks for some info and pictures, as they seem hard to find!

Yep I'd say $20 was a good price.

I was having a tough time deciding on a location for mine and finally split it into three pieces tonight. It was originally really much more mini-colony than frag so I ended up with two decent sized frags and a still very large frag that I was able to fit into my scape more easily than the original colony would have. I don't usually take up more than one good location with a single type of coral but this guy provided such nice contrast I used three!
