I have one I've had for almost 2 years. It likes low to medium light and moderate flow. It grows kind of slow.

I keep my water quality high and it does well. I'm not sure how it would do with high nitrate or low alk. I would just strive to keep your water as clean as possible for best results.

I've been keeping a few pieces of Orange Pavona maldivensis for 6 years. They do not demand high water quality, but they are sensitive to bright light, or at least a sudden increase in light. They can be acclimated to brighter tanks, but do it slowly. I have a few of my pieces in very low light.(30 par)
They do grow slowly.
