Just in case someone comes across the same issue....The 2nd ORCA picks up the WiFi settings from the 1st. Since I did not set up both pumps at the same time my phone switched off the dedicated 2.4GHz WiFi the pumps were on and the app could not connect to finish the setup, what thru me off was the 1st ORCA still showing connected in the app, once the app was on the same WiFi network setup finished without an issue.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, 6105's, flow is set at 100% but I'm not impressed.

Yes, I would need a lot more info on tank size, screenshots of settings, etc to be much help and the 6105 has two front outlets, the narrower one should be used for reach, the wide one for diffuse flow. On larger tanks if you replace the 12V power supply with a 24V power supply you will gain about 1000 gph and this would be best if the system is over a few hundred gallons.

Aquarium is 225 gals. Unable to split wifi 2.4/5 ghz with Xfinity at this time for some reason. Are there any plans to update to run on 5G?

I don't know of any "devices" that run on 5Ghz, I was told chip sets to do this are just now coming to market. Typically 5Ghz is for phone/computers/tablets, all IOT use 2.4Ghz. This would be a hardware change and not a software change. Usually in this scenario in the router you turn off 5Ghz, it will mean computers/phones etc will be marginally slower, 2.4 has a longer reach but is slower. You can also add a second router that can handle the 2.4Ghz traffic. My best advice on network issues is to use the whatsapp support group linked in the app, they can generally solve these issues as they have a real understanding of networks that I do not.

It should still find it and connect. The router can't "be confused" in any way as the ORCA isn't trying to use or connect to 5ghz in any capacity.

My router uses "smart connect" and combines 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and 6ghz. The ORCA connected no issue. My issue was the phone trying to jump networks once it realized the ORCA had no internet

In some cases it is the network, some routers have an implementation of 2.4/5Ghz on the same network that causes a conflict, we are working on a solution but as of this time if you have such a network, the only fix is a second router or turning of 5Ghz. You are correct it usually works, but there are exceptions.

A fix I have seen Tobias suggest is if the router has a guest network option, make the guest network fixed at 2.4.

Thanks for the info. My router has 3 bands 2.4,5G and 6G. Was on the phone with the Tech for an hour and a half with no luck. Do you have a link for the 24V power supply?

I would get connected first, you may not need anything if we can get the settings right. If you have a tablet and a phone you can use the hotspot of one to connect to and use the other for the app. You can use any 24V 60W 2.5 by 5.5 tip power supply just get a good name brand like Meanwell and not some bargain thing with no safeties, inadequate heat sinks, etc.

Are you sure you have no VPN, location services is enabled, etc? All the basics are right? As rtparty said one battle can be the phone ditching the network because it detects it has no viable internet, the easy fix then is to get your phone to forget the network. It is always worth asking Tobias on the whatsapp group, the guy is a miracle work and very dedicated, he is in Germany so his replies will be at odd hours for us but if he can, he will even order the router and figure it out as a software update.

Finally got them connected....working on getting screenshots. As for the power supply, would I need one for each Orca?

Screen Shot: Curious about the "Standard intensity (Overridden by modes)" statement.

There are two setting types, so the main settings you click on the bar illustrating the angles and you set the flow rate and speed of oscillation for the various angles as it sweeps, you can also set pauses, you can also enter modes which are pulsed or random flows as it moves or at pauses and this schedule will override the basic setting, this basic start and stop angle and flow is just a baseline (what it does when nothing else has been programmed). The best way to think of the programming is you will set a baseline, you then enter pauses, sectors and flow to program a general setting and you use modes to create periodic storms and overlaying turbulence in the day. Be sure to enable beta updates, you should be on OS 4.0.3

Im having trouble connecting my orca . It looks like the light just pusles white or red. I cant really tell. I clicked the light is pulsing white during set up but nothing changes with the orca and never hits solid red. I tried unplugging power off for a minute but still experienced same problem.

Make sure your phone isn’t leaving the orca network while setting up. Mine wouldn’t stay on the orca network for like 10 seconds since it saw no internet and tried jumping back to my home network

I told my phone to forget my home network during setup and then just reconnected afterwards

Is there any way to hard reset it so i could reconnect? It seems it failed to connect, now it’s in limbo

It’s pulsing white but not showing up on the app either. I don’t see any buttons on it to reset either, are there any?
