Orchid Dottyback Injury?

hey guys, I come yet again with another problem in my display tank… My Orchid Dottyback seems to have a large gash taken out of body. Fish has been put into empty quarantine tank, since I noticed about a day or two ago. No aggressive tank mates, as he is the most aggressive fish in the display tank. I’m just wondering if this could be possibly caused from a scrape on a rock since he seems to kinda bury him self in sand under rock to create a small cave, or is this something more like uronema? Looks like physical injury imo, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Scratch or scrape injury and should heal on its own. Keep an eye on area for healing and not becoming red or infected which would then require broad spectrum antibiotic in a separate tank

Uronema lesions do look like this, but are angled in the other direction, with the top of the lesion further forward than the bottom.

I’d say this is an injury. Do you have any tangs in the tank? What other fish do you have?

I’d say this is an injury. Do you have any tangs in the tank? What other fish do you have?

No tangs. Only other fish are yellow watchman goby and bangaii cardinalfish

O.K., that's not it then. Let us know if the lesion has gotten any larger overnight.....
