Hi Maryann. The coral is going to need at least some light, which I think would be tough in a bucket. Also probably heat and some water movement.
Check Craig's List. Usually there is at least one person selling an old 5-20g with heater, filter, and some type of light for a minimal amount of $$. Look for one with a fluorescent light that you can replace with a blue bulb.
