Ordering Direct from Innovative Marine

I am thinking of ordering and having shipped an Innovative Marine 25 Gallon long aquarium to me, and they say that the tank is double boxed, which they claim should mitigate any breakage risk with UPS. I would hope that aquarium manufacturers know how to design packaging to take the potential abuse from UPS, and any other courier really.

Does anyone here have any experience with IM tanks being shipped via courier and whether the double boxed packaging is really enough to prevent accidents?

I have purchased 3 IM AIO aquariums. All arrived in excellent condition. How can anyone go wrong with double boxing.

Fairly certain unless you find one local they all get drop shipped directly from IM when you buy from a 3rd party. If I'm wrong, at least buying direct from IM you save the tank from making one less trip/chance of breaking.

I prefer to buy from LFS, but they don't carry IM, so I'm resorting to direct ordering from IM

Their communication has been great for me responding within a couple hours and seem eager to help every time I email them so I wouldn't hesitate to reach out with your concerns.

I ordered mine and it was supposed to be back ordered 3 months. Seven days later an IM 25 gallon arrived at my door. My 20 gallon IM was one of my favorite tanks.

Thanks! I still need to think of a stand for it. Might have to build one, but prefer not to due to hand injury and all.

What kind of stand are you using? I've looked for one online, but came up with nothing.

Thank you - so far this is all reassuring. They must really know how to pack their products and to take a rough handling by UPS, Fedex, etc....

I ordered a tank for Black Friday from IM. Haven’t received it yet, but have full confidence in their team. Have spoken on the phone with them many times and they are all great. Brian is super helpful.

Yup, Brian has been patient with my excitement/impatience . I ordered 11/6 at the time it said "Ships in December" so we'll see.

I ordered an IM EXT75 setup from Toronto Canada to Vancouver island BC . Pretty much right across the country. Everything was packed really well and arrived in great shape . I was warned to open the crate with the aquarium in it and check it well before signing though
