Still not really sure what’s going on with my hammer coral. I made a Facebook post hoping for some insight and or advice. Someone suggested that it may be a bacteria. So here I am now going to CVS to get some iodine.

Hi thought that the coral had almost a flash on there. But the person mentioned a bacterial film. I’m going to upload a little video that I took yesterday of it

Todays testing of phos is reading at .19

…is this too high?!

alk is at 8.2. So I think I will dose 5ml of Alk in the tank with should raise it at Wendy bit. I want to try to keep it at 8.5.
Attached is a handy dosing calculator .
Enter your tank volume , choose the product and your desired vs current values and dose accordingly.

But other than that . Your numbers are not too bad . Phosphates might need to be addressed soon but even those
Numbers are not too bad .

update: looks okay(?) today. I am not really so sure anymore. Lol Just sad. I looked at my candy cane and it looks like it’s flesh is coming off too. I just did a lm iodine dip in that one as well.

Fingers crossed it’s not bjd and you’re able to make them happy again .
they could be just ticked off perhaps something in the water changed ?
something picking on them ,
There was a white film coming off of the hammer after the dip. Looked angry!

I hope the dip was enough. I only dipped for a few minutes. Do you think it should be longer?

The instructions on the dip I believe is specific per product .

perhaps it’s just stress .
