Overflow bulkhead replacement

Hey all,

I know this may sound silly, but I want to make sure that there’s nothing I need to look out for before replacing bulkheads in my overflow.

The tank is been running for about a year. I am switching over to herbie drain and wanted to make sure if I’m replacing one of the bulkheads is there anything I need to look out for?

From what I can see just make sure everything is clean before we put in the new bulkhead. I heard somewhere that the gasket on the outside of the tank is this true?

Cheers!!!

Gasket sits right under the flange regardless of how the bulkhead is oriented. In most cases the flange is on the inside off the tank/overflow, though there may be circumstances where you flip it.

That’s how I always though too.
