Recently got this 300g Peninsula and I’m trying to figure out the best way to plumb the drain lines. It has an internal and external overflow box with 3 1.5” bulkheads to connect the boxes ans 3 1.5” bulkheads on the external box for drainage.

I was planning to do
1. primary drain with gate valve
2. Dorso for secondary/set water level
3. Emergency

I’m not sure if there is enough space in the external box for this but if the main drain is low enough I can possibly put the main drain over it?

Also, should I just leave the internal overflow box free of any pipes? I think so but not 100% sure

thanks for your help!

If you put the durso on one side and the emergency on the other with no Pipe in the middle, I think you’ll have plenty of room in the external for what your going for. You can put a strainer in the center if your worried about critters going down the drain, I think lifeguard aquatics makes those.

sweet i did not think about putting the main drain in the middle, that should work. Appreciate the feedback. I can also just put a strainer on the main drain without any piping on it. thanks again!
