Overflow question - CPR CS90

I recently installed a CPR CS90 overflow.

it keeps filling and then draining into the sump making that gurgling noise.

What do I have setup wrong?

My drain line is a bit long an has a couple of bends in it. Is this a possible cause?

I've been using a CPR for several years, so I'm sure I can help you out. Did you try adjusting the tubes up and down? Do you have too much return flow? Mine is very silent. I have to put my head near it to hear it.

I did try adjusting the vent tube and that helps the noise a bit.

I don't think I have too much return flow. I'm using a Rio 2100 with about 4ft of head. That would be around 375 gph. The CS90 is rated at 900 gph.

I think part of my issue is the drain line seems a bit long and I think it takes XX psi of drain water to force water out of the bends/ dips in the drain line. This may result in an inconsistent water level in the overflow box.... and more noise

Am I off base?

Is all of your drain pipe tilted down hill, no level section?

Some of it is level and some actually had a slight upward bend. I've "rigged" it with a more down hill slope and that seems to have improve the water level fluctuation in the box.

Is it just me or is it really hard to type on this forum?

All drain pipe has to be down hill at a minimum of 1/4" per foot. This is most likely to cause of fluctuating level in the box.
